Discover VIVEMORA
VIVEMORA is a slow fashion brand founded in Switzerland in 2021 with production rooted in the Philippines.
The name itself tells a story: “Vive” means to live, while “Mora” means to pause or delay. Together, they speak of a life lived with intention, one that resists the rush and honours the process. This philosophy is at the core of everything we do.
The brand began with Myka’s own story. As a Filipina mother of two who moved to Switzerland, she found herself navigating loneliness, language barriers, and the loss of a clear path forward. In search of confidence and a renewed sense of purpose, she turned to something she had always loved: clothes.
From a young age, Myka found joy in putting outfits together, mixing and matching whatever she had in her closet. Dressing up was her way of expressing who she was, and wearing well-styled, beautiful clothes had always given her confidence. Though the demands of adapting to a new country and caring for her family took center stage, her creativity and love for styling remained. In time, she found herself drawn to it again. She started exploring fashion trends and designing simple, wearable pieces. Clothing — and the creativity it awakened — became her way of reconnecting with herself and rebuilding the confidence she thought she had lost.
As she found her footing again, Myka also began thinking more critically about the kind of fashion she wanted to create. Growing up in the island province of Mindoro, she had seen piles of discarded clothing dumped into rivers. That image stayed with her. She knew she didn’t want her designs to become part of the same cycle. So, she committed to creating clothes that last: versatile, timeless pieces meant to be worn, restyled, and loved over time.
But it didn’t end with the clothes.
Myka also reflected on how her own journey as a mother had impacted her sense of identity and financial independence. She knew many women in the Philippines were in similar situations, caring full-time for their families with limited access to income. She began to imagine a production model that worked differently, one that allowed women to earn from home while continuing to care for their families.
Her personal journey evolved into Vivemora, a brand built not just on style, but on a mission to uplift others.
She started by collecting second-hand sewing machines and distributing them to stay-at-home mothers eager to work. The tasks were divided to suit their schedules: one sewed zippers, another added pockets, another did the lining or finishing. It was a small, distributed system that served as the backbone of Vivemora. And just like the garments they created, the system was thoughtful, flexible, and made with care.
At Vivemora, every piece is a quiet act of resistance against fast fashion. We stand for slow, intentional living, and for the women whose hands shape each garment with care.
When you wear Vivemora, you carry more than a piece of clothing. You carry a story. One rooted in care, intention and the quiet strength of women supporting women.
The Vivemora Method
A closer look at our process, materials, and ethical production practices
Our Design PhilosophyVivemora’s collections feature modern silhouettes and elegant, versatile designs. Inspired by Myka’s own lifestyle, each piece is thoughtfully designed for women who move through different roles each day — from work and gatherings to travel or quiet moments in between. With comfort, quality, and ease at the core, these timeless staples are created to adapt to real life.
Many pieces include subtle nods to Filipino heritage, such as traditional textiles. These details are integrated in a minimalist and refined way, honoring tradition while remaining distinctly modern.
Our Creative Process
At Vivemora, every piece begins with an idea, often unexpected, always vivid. Myka knows to catch it before it slips away. Her phone becomes the first canvas, where she jots down everything: the cut, length, color, fabric options, pocket style, button details. She even notes the kind of bag or shoes it might be styled with. Each piece is fully imagined before a single stitch is made.
These notes often become the first thread of a carefully crafted garment, and sometimes an entire collection.
As a visual thinker, Myka translates these written ideas into mood boards, gathering images that reflect the concept she sees in her mind. From there, she works closely with a fashion designer to transform the vision into 3D renderings and technical packages.
Each design begins as a personal vision and is brought to life with care, intention, and respect for the women who will wear it.
From that first moment of inspiration to detailed files, every concept is shaped with clarity and intention ready to be brought to life by skilled hands.
Our Ethical Production Process
Each Vivemora piece is made in limited quantities, often just a few per style, in keeping with our commitment to slow fashion and mindful production. Myka remains closely involved at every stage, from sourcing fabric to reviewing prototypes and coordinating with our team in the Philippines, whether the materials come from certified suppliers abroad or surplus sources found locally.
While some fabrics are sourced through trusted, certified partners, many of our garments use surplus textiles from suppliers based in Switzerland, other parts of Europe, and the Philippines — a resourceful, fabric-first approach that minimizes waste and prioritizes existing materials. Sometimes we receive an entire roll, other times, just a few metres. Our designs adapt to what the fabric allows, minimizing waste and embracing flexibility.
Garments are sewn by stay-at-home mothers in a rotational, home-based system. One adds the zippers, another the pockets, another the lining. Each household completes up to 18 garments per week, earning a dignified income while working from home and caring for their families.
Production is coordinated through our small manufacturing hub, where tasks are managed and final quality checks are done before the garments are shipped to Switzerland.
This system allows us to produce clothes with purpose — supporting families while creating garments that carry meaning and intention.
Every piece we create at Vivemora is a testament to our values, a commitment to our planet, the women who make them, and to those who wear them.
Beautiful pieces can only come from beautiful materials.
Our fabrics are carefully selected through a sourcing process that prioritizes sustainability, quality, and care. Whether sourced through trusted international platforms or found locally in the Philippines, each fabric is chosen for its quality, integrity, and potential to bring our designs to life.
We often begin with Foursource, a sourcing platform based in Germany that connects us with certified manufacturers across Europe and beyond. We prioritize suppliers with sustainability credentials such as GOTS, Fair Trade, OEKO-TEX, RCS, or Bluesign.
When we find potential partners, we request swatches and occasionally purchase fabric to be shipped to the Philippines. However, many of our garments are made from surplus or deadstock textiles sourced locally from Philippine-based manufacturers. Sometimes we get a whole roll of fabric, sometimes just a few meters. We allow this availability to guide our designs.
This flexible, fabric-first approach allows us to reduce waste and avoid overproduction, following the principles of circularity. We design systems that make use of existing materials and adapt collections based on what’s available, whether from across the globe or just around the corner.
In select pieces, we also incorporate traditional Filipino textiles woven by artisans from various island provinces. This not only supports local economies but also preserves craft traditions and cultural heritage.
As we grow, we remain committed to deepening our impact by integrating more certified sustainable materials while staying true to our values of care, craft, and community.
